Automatic line sharing -
Lets up to 4 devices - usually a telephone, answering machine, fax and modem -
share a single phone line.
This unit can also be setup to allow up to three TA620M
clock terminals or HandPunch terminals with modems to share a single telephone line. This
is accomplished by using the fax port, modem port and phone port each for a separate
TA620M or HandPunch terminal. This works by adding a
dialing string to the number dialed. By adding the string #11 the call is directed to the
fax port. Add the string #22 and the call is routed to the modem port. No added dialing
string sends the call to the normal phone port.
Distinctive Ring mode for simple
line sharing - When you add a second or third phone number to your single line,
the CS 7500 works smoothly with Distinctive Ring service offered by most local phone
companies (different companies have various names for this service; check with your phone
company for details). In short, the CS 7500 is able to recognize specific ring patterns
assigned to your different phone numbers and route calls to the right device.
Choose "Automatic" or
"Semi-Automatic" mode - The CS 7500 immediately answers every call in
the "Automatic" mode. If you prefer to have all your extension phones ring
normally, the "Semi-Automatic" Mode is also selectable. The choice is yours.
Yes, you can use phone company Voice
Mail and Caller ID - We've made it possible for the CS 7500 to work with Voice
Messaging from the phone company (requires Distinctive Ring service activation). The
system is also compatible with Caller ID service (requires service activation)
Remote message notification
- Never miss another important message while you're away. Every time you receive a voice
message, fax document or data transmission, ComSwitch 7500 will automatically send a
special tone message to any desired telephone number - local or long distance. (Not
compatible with tone pagers.)
Two line compatibility -
ComSwitch 7500 works equally well with one or two telephone lines. Even more important,
the system is compatible with two-line telephones, something you seldom find in other
systems.
Save money on a scanner -
You can convert your fax machine into a full page, multi-document scanning system by using
our built in ComScanŽ feature. Just the touch of a button and your fax machine sends
images directly into the
fax/modem in your PC. Electronic images are a snap. Reverse the process and your fax
machine acts like a printer. And maybe the best news of all is that there's no new
software to load and learn. The ComScan feature works with virtually all communications
packages. Talk about versatile!
Monitoring - ComSwitch 7500
is so smart it stays on the line during every call, listening for tone commands you send
from the keypad of a telephone. So you can talk for a few minutes, push three keys, and
transfer the call to your fax
machine to receive a document. All on the same call.
